If you’ve been following this blog over the past few weeks, you’ve probably noticed a few changes – some small, some large. These changes to the website are all part of a larger plan to gradually increase the overall quality of experience you’re going to find here at tonescratch.
In order to initiate the first step of this change, I’ve redesigned the site’s visual layout. I hope you’ll find the look aesthetically pleasing, easy to read, and most importantly of all, perfectly functional. Ease of use is my number one priority for users of the site, standing right next to quality content in importance.
Secondly, you may have noticed a new content category in the primary navigation bar titled “Spotlights.” This is part of a new content initiative to feature artists with little mainstream attention and remarkable talent. Under the splotlight section of the site, you’ll find obscure artists from across the globe, spanning a diverse array of genres. I hope you’ll find something new to enjoy with at least one update per week to that section.
Furthermore, I’ve added a “This Week’s Playlist” section to the right of posted articles to give readers an idea of what I’ve been listening to over the past week. More than just offering a glimpse into my own listening habits, this weekly list is there to help you find something new to listen to as well.
I hope you all find the changes to be for the better. Feel free to leave me comments here. Whether you love or hate something about the site, I’d love to hear from you. This site isn’t just about me, after all. It’s about sharing music with all of you.
